Huskisson & Booderee National Park

Can't quite believe how lucky we've been with our choice of accommodation. Ceespray is a modern, purpose built B&B run by Louise & Stuart who live in the upstairs rooms. On ground level there are 4 large en suite rooms with luxury fittings, laundry room,  large kitchen (which guests can use if they want to cook or have hot drinks, dining area, deck with BBQ & lovely planting around the whole outside space. Our breakfasts are cooked & served by Louise & Stuart, & they make it feel like you are staying with friends. Loads of info on where to visit, friendly chat with them & the other guests.

Huskisson itself is situated on Jervis Bay, boasting the cleanest waters & the whitest sands in the world. If you think the Caribbean has white sands - think again. This tops it all! The sea is turquoise even on a cloudy day, can't wait to see it when the sky is its usual clear blue. The bay is home to a an array of sea life including a pod of 80 dolphins.

The Booderee National Park lies at the southern end of the bay. Owned by the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community & jointly managed with Parks Australia. An area of eucalyptus & banksia forest, heathland & swamp land.  Rocky outcrops & more white beaches. Telegraph Creek nature trail, one of many bush walking tracks gave us a taste of the wonderful vegetation & wildlife. The grass trees have flower spears that tower above the undergrowth.

The forest is home to 200 species of birds including the endangered Bristlebird. Wallabies & kangaroos aplenty & the noisy, sociable Rainbow Lorikeets.

The beaches : Green Patch, Hole in the Wall, Murrays, Scottish Rocks, Steamers, Whiting, Summer Cloud Bay, Cave, Bherwerre & Kitty's. Too many to see in one day, so we may return tomorrow.....then we can start on the ones round the rest of the bay......so many beaches.......not enough days!
